Terms of use
Last updated Oct 30, 2026
These terms apply when you use BiteBy, published by Tuguldur UlamUndrakh. By using BiteBy you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
Use-by dates are estimates
BiteBy suggests use-by dates from a food's category and where it's kept, and it can fill in details from Open Food Facts. These are estimates, not food safety advice. Always check the package, how the food was stored, and how it looks and smells before eating it.
Your Account and Households
- Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your Account.
- The Owner of a Household decides who is in it. Members can see and change the Household's Items, so only invite people you trust.
- The data you add is yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run BiteBy for you and your Households (see the privacy policy).
- Don't misuse BiteBy: no attempts to access other people's data, overload or break the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend Accounts that do.
Free Plan and BiteBy Pro
- The Free Plan is free, with limits (for example, 20 active Items per Household). BiteBy Pro raises them. The Owner of a Household pays; Members join for free.
- BiteBy Pro is a subscription billed through Google Play in the app, or by card on our website (processed by Stripe through RevenueCat), at the price shown before you buy. It renews automatically until you cancel: in your Google Play subscription settings, or from the "Manage or cancel your subscription" link in the website's Settings. Any free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds for Google Play purchases follow Google Play's rules. For purchases on our website, contact us.
- If a subscription ends, nothing is deleted: you choose which Household stays active, and the others are locked (read-only) until you subscribe again.
- We may change prices for future billing periods, with notice through the store or the app.
The service
We work to keep BiteBy running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features; if we ever shut BiteBy down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice, and send you a copy of your data if you ask.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including food that spoils or is eaten past its date, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for BiteBy in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Ending
You can stop using BiteBy and delete your Account at any time. Cancel a subscription in your store account first, since deleting the Account doesn't cancel it.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. Questions: rbktgldr@gmail.com.
